Founded in 2004 in Quito, Diez + Muller has quickly established its practice as one of the top architectural firms in Quito. Founders Gonzalo Diez, and Felipe Muller established the Ecuadorian firm to emphasize the climate, resources, and people of Ecuador rather than any specific design aesthetic.
Diez + Muller’s work explores the confluence of interior and exterior spaces – as much of their work is constructed in areas with very consistent temperature deviations, they are adept at creating dynamic borders rather than fixed boundaries. Their projects have had a significant impact on Quito’s architectural landscape and moved forward environmentally-conscious design in the city.
