IQON

IQON is located across the street from the east side of La Carolina Park. It is BIG’s first building in Quito and South America. This 32-story building, with unique views of the city and the beautiful sunsets over the Pichincha volcano, will be the tallest in Ecuador’s capital. All the way to the top, the exposed-concrete facade of the building is shaped by a cascade of stepped platforms. Many of the individual homes have a terrace with different species of native trees and plants, making the facade of the building a vertical display of the biodiversity of Quito, giving a sense of continuity with La Carolina Park.
IQON is the first mixed-use building in Quito to have a preliminary EDGE certification, granted by GBCI (Green Business Certification Inc.) and IFC (International Finance Corporation) from World Bank Group.
